Common Symptoms of a Failed Lennox 70W16 Hot Surface Ignitor

A failed or cracked hot surface ignitor may cause one or more of the following symptoms:

• Furnace does not produce heat.
• Ignitor does not glow during a call for heat.
• Inducer motor runs, but the burners never ignite.
• Furnace attempts to ignite several times before locking out.
• Intermittent ignition or delayed burner ignition.
• Ignitor is visibly cracked, chipped, or broken.
• Ignitor has proper voltage but fails to heat.
